Kate Neville and the staff at the Double Tree by Hilton were amazing. The entire event was absolutely flawless thanks to Kate's attentiveness and organization. The Double Tree not only provided the reception space, but they did all of the catering as well. I have received endless compliments about how good the food was. The stations were laid out to promote movement and flow around the entire ball room. The menu tasting was really helpful and Kate made sure to detail all of our choices and her recommendations were incredible. We met many times over the year to discuss details and logistics and never once did we feel like we were imposing or rushed. E-mails and phone calls were always answered promptly. We were also extremely happy with the cost of the event. The Double Tree made our budget work without having to sacrifice any details that I wanted to make our event special. Thanks to Kate and her staff our wedding went smoothly and we never once during the reception did we have to think about details or timelines- they made sure it was done for us!

My Husband and I, along with our wedding guests, were extremely pleased to with everything the Doubletree had to offer for our wedding day. When my husband and I decided that we wanted to get married in Historic Charleston, we knew we wanted quality and southern charm. The Doubletree offered that! They were the only venue in the area that had a rain plan included in the cost. Also the venue offered a wedding planner. Kate was awesome there! Whenever I had an idea or needed to weigh an option on vendors, Kate was there to offer her expertise. We disclosed our budget to Kate and she helped us stay on track and underbudget. We are still on a natural high from our wedding and hands down would recommend this venue to any of our friends and family members.

I wanted to let you know about the wonderful experience we had at your Doubletree Hotel in Charleston. Your hotel was the site for our daughter's wedding reception and also a large portion of our guests stayed there. This was a destination wedding with the groom's family being from Boston, Massachusetts and our family being as far away as Texas. Everyone there starting with Kate McDermott and Nettie Owens, couldn't have been more accommodating and professional. The parents of the bride and groom were able to come in April with them and tour the hotel, chose the types of rooms needed for different guests needs, participate in the tastings and get great recommendations for the rehearsal dinner at Mercato's, etc. Kate was there all day of the reception and into the night. Her staff was so good, we didn't even know they were there. It all seemed to just get done without any fuss at all. When we arrived back in our room, everything from the reception, gifts, etc. were all delivered. The food was sooo good. Everyone loved it. Great catering staff. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture ! Our families were there from Thursday until Monday and it was a joy to be there. Everyone from your front desk, the housekeeping staff, and I can't say enough about your bellmen and valets. My husband has an electric wheelchair and the extra help I needed with him, they just stepped up without being asked and went the extra mile. Helping him to the car, having the car ready everytime we needed it and loading, etc. Wow ! You have a great team and we just wanted you to know that my husband and I enjoyed being a guest at our daughter's wedding weekend because your staff did all the work. Thanks again to them all. We would definitely recommend your hotel and amenities to everyone!

Kate was amazing at the Doubletree. She took care of most of the things we needed to be handled and our day went off without any problems. The staff was always present and attentive yet never overwhelming.

The Double Tree Downtown Charleston was the PERFECT venue for my daughter's wedding reception! The location cannot be beat with the Market and endless restaurants, shops and attractions within walking distance of the hotel. The reception planner, Kate, did a fantastic job and the reception went beautifully! She handled all of the details including coordination with other vendors, and the reception room and courtyard for cocktails looked absolutely lovely. The food was delicious and the entire staff was efficient and friendly. We even lucked out with the weather- comfortable 80s in the middle of July. I highly recommend the DoubleTree for an outstanding wedding reception in Charleston, SC! Thanks DoubleTree!

My wedding at the Doubletree was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a more helpful and reliable staff. I had to change my ceremony location last minute to the Doubletree due to weather and they were so accomodating. I would highly recommend them to any future brides!

Kate was wonderful in organizing everything. She is also very professional and calm through everthing. I truly believe her calmness helps keep the bride and wedding party more at ease. It was also easier I think having the ceremony and reception at the same venue.

Every person on staff at the hotel seemed eager to please us and treated all of us and our guests in a friendly and professional manner. The event staff was attentive and the food delicious with a lovely presentation. The set-up of the room, which our sales person designed, was attractive and done exactly as planned. Our sales person, Kate, provided service beyond what we expected, responding to all correspondence in a very timely manner and referring us to vendors we were very satisfied with.

My husband and I would not have had our wedding anywhere else, nor looking back would we have done anything differently. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and flexible. They made our day exactly what we wanted.

The venue was perfect, right in the heart of the historic Charleston Market. The reception was held in the open air inclosed courtyard and the wedding dinner in the magificent ballroom. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations, served right on schedule. The rooms were all suites and enjoyed by all of our out of town guests. As parking is at a minimum in downtown Charleston, it was a bonus to have the hotel's valet underground parking for those staying at the hotel. The hotel provided the services of Kate Mc Dermot as our contact planner and she was most professional, taking care of our every need. She gave us wonderful suggestions for local rentals, DJ, flowers, etc. She was there from early in the day to late at night and oversaw every detail. I knew that I could count on her and was so pleased to have her as our reception planner. The staff was most professional and very helpful. Thanks to them I could relax and enjoy the wedding of my daughter. A most satisfied Mother of The Bride.

I was treated with the upmost care and my every need was taken care of. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like a first rate event.

I don't think that I could have had a better venue nor professionals to assist me with my wedding. All advice given to me was absolutely correct and there were not many details that I had to worry about. I would recommend the Doubletree in Charleston to anyone for any event.

I've received many compliments regarding our wedding in June. I know that it takes a team effort to be able to make an event such as this possible. Kate did a wonderful job keeping everything controlled and organized. It was wonderful to work with her and her staff.
